hey try i did this and i think you might like it, gives it a better look too with bigger piupes. i cut about 12 inches off of the tailpipes and put on some 3 in pipes onto it, and it did change the tone of the exhaust, little deeper for some reason...
Haha, here, just get this.

Blackmage, I've been researching different tips actually. I haven't decided on what to go with quite yet. As far as my car being slow, it isn't going to stay that way for long. I said that I wasn't going to put any go fast parts on it, but I lied to myself. Here is what I plan to do. Not necessarily in this order.

1. O/R Midpipe

2. 3.73s

3. Headers

4.Throttle body and CAI

5. Head and cam work. (maybe pi swap, maybe porting my stock heads and getting PI cams)

6. Power Programmer

go for a 5.0 like everyone else said cheaper to mod, and a little more cubes. i do like the 2005 with the 4.6 in it though....

com on now honestly man lol, sorry i didn't make myself perfectly clear, or did i cuz u interpreted it wrong, well newayz, i mant just some chrome tips, nothing like that with the mufflers and what not, just a 3 inch diameter piece of pipe, and welded it onto where the stock exhaust ended after i cut it off. there now i hope im not so clear

You were clear to me, and again in this post. But why change the tips just to change the sound? Little thing called form over function. Get a whole catback if you're going to do anything, or at least a couple of cutouts. Only think you're gaining by switching tips is sound, not performance.
