Default Intake Air Controller

A few days ago I posted a comment thanking the site for helping me fix my car. It only worked for a couple of days and not it's doing it again. I am getting so fustrated with the darn thing. Maybe I didn't clean it enough? Does anyone have any ideas on what I should try? I am going to take it off again tonight and soak the whole thing in carbcleaner.

My car dies when I stop at lights or try to park in parking lot. RPM's drop to like 400-600. I was told the IAC needed cleaned out with carb cleaner.

Remove the old IAC and either replace it with a new Ford part or clean it until it shines inside and out.You can use spray cleaner by insering the staw in between the hose going into the IAC and the fittingthe hoseslips over.Start the engine and spray carb cleaner into the hose until the IAC can control the idle speed enough to keep the engine from stalling. In your case you'll probably have to use a helper to keep the engine running until the gom gets washed out of the valve.
