Little help with Misfire please...
Hey guys,
Sorry, this is my first visit to the forum but I'm going to try and keep up with it a lot more, seems like you've got a great group here.
Heres my dilemma. I've got a 96 4.6. The kid I got it from didn't do a whole lot, more suspension stuff than anything. I fabbed a cold air intake for it a couple months after I got it but thats the only motor upgrades. About 6 months ago it began to miss under load (hard accel, going uphill or shifting early)Also, of important note,it only happens after the car is warm, not for the first 10 minutes of running.I assumed since it was only under load that it must be a fuel issue, probably the pump as I have replaced the filter twice. I also attributed it to the fact that my roommate ran it out of gas one day when I let him borrow it.
I was wondering what you guys think. New fuel pump? New injectors? Or maybe a coil pack? Where would you look first, and has anyone had a similar problem? Thanks for all your help and for the great forum.

RE: Little help with Misfire please...
i would assume it would be a fuel problem because if it were a spark plug youd notice it all the time. check the injectors. i wouldnt put the blame on the fuel pump. check your injectors first.
