Default long tubes and lowering

im planning my future mods a few months in advance and my question is this... ive found a set of lt's that i can actually put on my auto but i wanna lower my stang... i know long tubes hang lower than stock headers but im trying to decide what i need/should do as far as suspension is concerned. when i do my suspension i will have full exhaust (includign the lt's) 410 gears and thats proably it..maybe a new tb and plenum... shoudl i just do the springs or replace the shocks and struts while im at it? i will be getting a s/c and theres no doubt about it should i invest in some upr/lwr control arms or what?? sorry im kind of a noob to suspension mods. any advice and help is much appreciated

Any aftermarket exhaust that you add to your car will hang lower than stock. I was worried about the same thing because my O/R pipe hangs lower than my stock did and then I lowered my car, but my friend has LT's and his are the same height as mine!

As far as the long tubes go, you should be fine just dont slam the car. I have a 1.5 drop and i have had no problems with my long tubes scraping. Yuo should replace the shocks as well so u get the full benifit of the springs

so clearance shouldnt be a problem? good. cuz im not lookin to go much lower than 1.5" i still want to maintain a comfortable ride cuz my car is my dd. ive read some threads that mention when you do suspension work to not just do the springs but to do the shocks, struts, upper and lower control arms and sometimes even subframe connectors. is there a good write up on suspension? cuz i would really like to read it. as far as springs are concerned, ive been lookin into the H&R sport springs. ive never heard anything bad about them. ive been kinda turned away from the eibach pro kits cuz a few of my friends say they hate how the springs sag. if i were to get the H&R springs, what should i get to compliment them? or should i look into a different set of springs???

i scrape pretty bad over some speed bumps...but thats about it. just drive carefully and youll be fine. (i have a 1.5" drop with Eibach Prokits) i can speak for any drop over 1.5" tho.

my 04 is dropped damn close to 2" and I have MAC longtubes... they usually don't scrape, if something does scrape, it's usually the factory subframe connector/support , just under the bellhousing...

sticky

Yes, if you get Full length Subframe connectors, they will scrape before your exhaust will!
