speed shifting is not really much different from normal shifting, i hate when ppl say it ruins your car, false, improperly done it does but its because ppl cant drive and try things they shouldn't if you have an aftermarket sport shifter you should be fine just take the time to learn it and dont be stupid. it def gives u an advantage if you know what you're doing. yes its worth it to learn

If you practice speed shifting (actually letting off the gas) you can get good enough to not even have to power shift. It basically will be the same thing without the stress on your drivetrain. My opinion is to practice speed shifting and getting good at it. T-45's SUCK and will break very easily.

...noob
im not "slamming my gears", quick shifting and slamming are two different things.. dumping the clutch.... not really you shouldnt be riding the clutch in 2nd, 3 or 4 th anyway. Your not putting anymore or less power down by powershifting.. your just not letting the motor drop as many rpms... powershifting will not hurt anything... esp Na and bolt ons... its not any harder on the syrchros or tranny, thats about 90% BS your still putting down the same power and the synchros have to speed up just the same on a quick shift as they do a power shift. Try powershifting before you say im full of ****. Downshifting it to hard it what really fugs up synchros not upshifts.

And to reply on the topic... power shifting is not that bad on your car when done right... flooring it and shifting fast/hard in general is not exactley good for the car... but power shifting cleanly is not much worse than shifting hard/fast itself

no.. if u dont havec a strong clutch it puts alot mo,re wear on th9e cltch... because as ure shifting ur foot is still on the pdal... so so as the clutch is trying to catch ur rfevving higher than you no0rmally would on a regular shift.. cacusing it to slip more and burn the clutch more.... it causes more wedar... but i mean seriously... its just like aaburnout.p. it causes alot more wear on everything ... but alot of people do it... just costs more $$ to maintain ur stang.

powershift gives u better times, if u got the $ and u wanna be faster, then hell yeah, how fast do you want to fyucking go, yo?

its your ****ing car, do whatever you want, just rember if u gotta ask, it probably isnt good for it, and it'll cost you more money. but if u love the speed and everythign wth it, then its worth doing whatever

it doesnt use any more clutch... and no I dont power shift at 6200 rpms.. thats pointless

I think powershifting helps a good bit, but like you say there are better ways to drop times... if you shift normal and beat the **** out of your car or power shift and beat the **** out of your car its going to break, so dont think you are doing yourself any favors by not powershifting it when raggin on it...
just my .02 I could be wrong
