Tune up time
Thecar is a 1998 mustang gt. A cold air intake and flowsare the only engine mods. Car has 127k miles. I just bought the car and figure that I should do a tune up.
First, should I take it to a mechanic to do?
If it is all stuff I should be able to do, what sort of things should I check/replace?

RE: Tune up time
Spark Plugs, plug wires, air filter, oil change, coolant flush, check your brakes, fuel injector cleaner.
Most of the stuff I do when I get a used car. All pretty easy to do with basic hand tools.

RE: Tune up time
if you really want to get into it, check your tranny fluid, differential fluid and fuel filter, look over all bushings for excessive wear, and with the miles, new shocks and struts may be in order (best check is to push down above each wheel to check for excessive bouncing)...and if you bought it with any kinda of aftermarket stereo, be best to check for any rigged wiring or crap like that
