Are the 96-98 T-45's the same in the GT's as the Cobra's. If not will my GT tranny work with a 98 Cobra motor?

i believ the t45 was in the 96-01gt and 96-98 cobra maybe even the 99-01 cobra. but yes the tranny will work

I thought that the Cobra's T45 was a little longer. I'm not 100% sure, though.

99 cobras had t45 while the 01cobras had the tr3650

early 01 gt's had the t45 while the later ones like mine had the tr3650.

GT has the six bolt crank and Cobra has eight bolt

So the clutches and flywheels are diferent? The bellhousing will still work won't it? Is the clutch still a 10.5"

No the Cobra and GT T-45 are different trust me I found out the hard way[:@]. The trans mounting holes on the Cobra T45 are about 2in rearwardon the tail section. I can get a pic tomorrow if you need more proof to understand of what I'm talking about
