another check engine light q..

mine is on but i know its bc i havent put on my mil eliminators for my h-pipe on yet.... eill the car acually run slower if the check engine light is on? i have a '01 gt.... thanks.

it all depends on what made the light come on in the first place. the failure of some engine sensors will put the ECU into a "limp home" mode where the engine will run to get you home or to a shop but it won't have anywhere near the normal performance output.

my friends 98 z28 ran terrible after he put the offroad ypipe in there because his check engine light was always no now he has the o2 simulaters and can feel the power the y pipe gave him

it won't be something that you will notice considerable. maybe a little, but not much at all.

i have the same problem, i put the SLP cat back and rid the cats... my check engine lights on now. where to order them mil eliminators?

It should be a decent decrease in performance. Limp home mode consists of pulling timing and increasing the A/F ratio....

The rear 02 sensors are there only to let the ecu know if the cats are working, if the rear 02's trip the MIL light IT WILL NOT AFFECT PERFORMANCE on a mustang.
