Default RE: Headlights

Those from American Muscle do look great, but they are not street legal without the amber on the side.

ORIGINAL: laserred38

i again repeat myself..do NOT go HID with the aftermarket lights unless they are projectors...and if you go projectors...buy everything at once to make it easier on yourself..

i had the aftermarket black/clear corner lights when i got my HIDs...they were fine with my previous Silverstars..but after switching to the more focused beams of the HIDs the lighting SUCKED...it really brought out the cheap quality of the aftermarket lights and their crappy reflectors...halogen bulbs are ok because the beam isn't as focused so the light spreads out more...HIDs are always going to be best in projectors that will give you a nice clean uniform beam

i traded my aftermarket lights for stock 01-04 lights and the lighting is better...but i still wish i went projectors + HIDs...too late now...not buying another HID kit and more headlights..i'm already on my 3rd set including the stock 99-00 ones haha
Grrr, I was afraid of that. I just traded for some clear housings, and was thinking about buying the HID headlight / foglight kit. Now I'm not sure. If i just bought the luminics white 9007 bulbs, will they switch out for my stockers, or do you have to have the HID kit to go with them?

Not certain if those luminics 9007 bulbs will work with the stock headlight. Call American Muscle and they will tell you.
