if your car is stock, do not even spend that much for an intake. itwill do nothing for you. take off the air silencer, and put a K&N air FILTER in there, and theres your $25 air intake.its basically the same thing as a regular intake.save your money for something bigger, like gears. do a little research on this site, and read some of the threads, you'll learn ALOT.
I did that too, but the K&N filter was $59.00 at Pep Boys.
Wish I could have found one for $25

if you are gonna get an air intake the JLT is the best quality out there and with the best results, if you just do a drop in filter ur not really gonna see a lot of hp, just some better gas mileage.

I looked on K&N's website. I"m looking for horsepower and performance gain so I might go with the JLT since more people seem to be satisfied with that.

only reason i got an FIPK was because i didnt want to have to lose my strut brace, however the FIPK, instead of just being a filter, removes the MAF screen and gives a heat shield with some rubber weatherstrip to help it seal against the hood.

Save the money and pass on the minor bolt-ons. Just get full exhaust, gears, and tune. Finally, save for blower.

lsustang,

Your 04 Mustang GT is an Automatic?? Any modifications I do has to be compatible with an automatic transmission and also have to not void my warranty on the car.
