Some paint is missing from my hood and I'd like to take the rest of it off and just go with the flat black hood until I upgrade to a fiberglass hood in a few weeks. I know it sounds strange but if you saw it you'd be on the same page, that said, What is the best way to remove the paint from the stock hood without damaging the hood itself?

I will be taking the hood off and removing the rest of the paint tomorrow so any suggestions would be appreciated.

320 or 520 sand paper - the paint doenst have to come off - just scuffed, and smooth

You want to paint it flat black? Im no painting pro but just sand it, primer it and paint over it

No, the hood is actually a flat black under the paint. So I just want to remove the rest of the paint. I won't be doing any painting or sanding etc. Just looking to know what paint remover to use.

sorry but this is up already what about redoing a roush lips its plastic and with the silver color would u put a remover or just sand it down
