mine is twisted on as hard as i can twist it with my hands, the top of my boot is crushed. and that worked for mine. but i only use my stock shifter in the really cold winter months. when its really cold its easier to shift my tranny with my stock shifter then my old school aftermarket black ball one (scored it on ebay for 8 bucks, looks awesome too!)

I had a hunch it was the shifter ****. ... Try putting some grease in it, and on the top of the shifter to give it some lubrication. Maybe that'll help.

yeah I tightened mine as hard as i can with my hand. When I took it out today A bunch of sperm came out of it and its all over my shift boot. Im going to vacuum all the seamon off my shift boot and drive around a bit and still see if my shift **** is having sex

Yeah thats the MGW for you. It is quite a bit lower than the rest. The steeda tri-ax is pretty low also since its adjustable. Personally I love it and it looks A LOT BETTER lower like that. It shifts more sportier also. The stock shifter had me punching my radio everytime I shifted into 1st or 3rd
