Default stupid warning lights!

My ABS light comes on from time to time. Maybe a day or two at a time. When its on it turs off my traction control. Sometimes at the worst moments. Would you guys happen to know what is causing this? The local Ford "Stealership" wants, $79 to run a diagnostics on it. Please help! Thank you in advance.

I would guess it's the ABS sensors going bad. I have that issue on my chevy and a mechanic wanted ~$200 to replace each sensor. I decided it against that. It's funny you should mention the traction control. My traction control is also out on that vehicle. I guess the two must be related but I never thought about it before.

It's not a horrible problem if it is what is actually wrong. It just means you won't have ABS until you get them replaced/fixed.

Yeah I hear ya man, if it were out on my stang that'd be another story but my chevy can stand be broken. That's what they're for right?

Bump for helping this guy out. Let's get some other opinions.
