Ok heres the deal. Cars been backingfireing after it starts, but i noticed it seemed not to do that on a cold start. I have the Trueflow Cold air intake from rpmoutlet but not the heatshield. I took it to a ford shop and they tryed to tell me that all my aftermarket parts are causing the car to do this. *go to start it it backfires and then wont crank* Ok so maybe I should order a new cold air intake that mounts the filter in the fender? Ok I can do that if thats what u think the problem is. They checked everything and one shop couldnt even find out whats wrong with the car. Checked Iginition, Timing, Fuel, everything! My 2nd problem which I believe is my Idle Air controller is Randomly While driving the car will idle rough. Above 1000 and sounds nasty.. Its so embarrassing. If you continue to let it idle it will sometimes go back down to normal or stall out. This sucks in traffic as im on my way to college up hill and this happens. Ouch... Can somebody please help me. If you need more information just tell me what you need. Im really frustrated for the ford place to charge me 100 dallors to fix nothing.

Is it throwing any codes? Did the problems coincide with the intake install?

 

yes the car is throwing codes but none of the shops said they were to do with the problem. One was a cam sensor code. Replaced the sensor and code came right back. Also the intake was on the car when I bought it and it ran fine. Like I said maybe it is the intake though? I could buy a fender mounted intake and then the car couldnt suck in hot air.
