lol thats like a brand new off the lot 03-04 cobra, i've been looking a LOT around the nation at 03-04 cobras and you can get em as low as 24,000k to about 30,000k used. i've seen a lot of really good deals. im still bebating if im going to get mine out of state, im almost to the point where i am but i wanna see what im buying before i shell out 25-27k but if nothin comes up by dec im just gonna pay for the shipping which i think will be at the most around a grand right?

it's a little more complicated than just 10G's. they share the same chassis, but everything is different from the brakes right down to the block.
99 gtx, what you are failing to realize is that it's a lot more than just a built motor. it takes a little more than forged internals. a cobra block can handle almost twice the power a GT block can. plus the DOHC valvetrain. plus the bullet proof T-56, wich is a $2500 swap kit for the GT. add in a clutch, flywheel and install as well because you'll need that. and boom, well over 3G's for the same tranny a cobra has. a good GT shortblock to handle the power? about 4 G's. heads and cams? another 3G's. plus a blower. a good kenne bell or procharger? 5G's installed, roughly. plus the tranny, a new rear end and driveshaft, parts and install another good 3 G's. good suspension? how bout a nice $1700 MM street/strip box? plus install. brakes? at least $3000, more like $5000 for a performance brake kit that can match the cobras 13 inch kit. not to mention tuning, additional misc parts, bolt on mods and things needed for swapping so many peices, gaskets bolts etc..... and you've added a total of what? $20,000 on top of a GT to be able to match what a cobra can do? all an 03 cobra needs is bolt ons and a blower swap and boom. 600-700 rwhp. you have to rip a GT to pieces to effectively match a cobras performance.
