Default Mach 1 RWHP!?

Im looking into selling my car and buying a 2004 Mach 1. Curious as to if they were overrated as the cobra was seeing that they had the same motor. Also do any know whether or not the 8th cylinder in the 03' mach 1 ticks like the one in the 03' cobras. Whats the rwhp on a stock mach 1 and the crank? (if underrated)

appreciate guys!

same head tick, ive had one of my heads replaced by ford. So thats something to look for. I just put down 276hp and 301tq with only a catback. You will love the mach.

The 03' and some of the early 04' Mach's had problems with coolant problems on the left head. In 04' they fixed the problem and put a blue stripe on the head. If you have a Mach without the blue stripe and you start to get a ticking you can go to Ford and they will replace the head. I've seen guys with over 40k and have no problems and there are guys like me with less then 30k and have the problem. There is a aftermarket kit they sell (about $150) that flows coolant to the rear left head to prevent / help this problem.
