Default Dr's and axles

Hmm I'm ordering some M/T Dr's next week along with abunchh of other stuff.. Should I pick up some forged axles aswell or should the stock ones hold up for a while...What rpm launches can the stock ones handle aswell as forged 28 spindle..
I've never used Dr's before can it be compared to an AWD launch?

They should hold up for a while......just wait till it breaks to beef everything up....

That wouldnt be smart to break them at the track with no other way home. I would take the precautions and at least go to forged, 31 spline would be better though.

unfortunately there isnt much alternative if he gets 31 splines he will have to get new everything and I'm not sure what kind of budget he is on.........and it may work for 1 yr it may break right of the line there is no way to tell but thats what I would do just my .02 Dan

Money isn't a big factory in a way..I would just rather order more stuff than just my rear end. Couldn't I leave it stock for one more month after I finish "full bolt-ons" then upgrade the rear to 31splines? What rpm launches can the stock axles handle?

i've been running Nittos with 467RWHP on the stock rear. then again, i don't do hard launches. i generally stay around 2000-2500 and i've been fine. it's all in the launch.
