Remove the air silencer and put a K&N filter in, good for a few HP. Not all that noticacble, though I think I noticed a difference, but it could be all in my head. It definitly helped the throttle responce and plus you can hear it sucking the air with the silencer taken out which is cool...I don't think taking the silencer out will void warranty, but as long as you keep it in one piece taking it out, you could always pop it right back in if you ever have to take the car back to your ford dealership.

Yeah, my new baby is a stick...there's no way I would have paid as much as I did to get just another automatic....my last stang was a '98 v6 automatic convertible, and it was super boring. I love having a stick, it's so much better, and a short shifter would be cool, I like them a lot. That wouldn't void the warranty, would it?

One of the easiest ways to gain HP is to put in an X pipe. Secondly, changing from Dino oil to Synthetic also makes a big difference. Now, you guys seem to like the blue color, but my Red Mach 1 just looks mean.

Baller, why do you feel the need to outdo me by getting a damn cobra? Well, how about this.....you can drive my car, under one condition....If you give me your cobra [sm=goodidea.gif]

Easiest and cheapest HP will proably be through a new throttle body/MAs air combo. I've got a 97 GT and I picked up about 21 HP with a 75mm BBK throttle body paired with a C&L upper-intake plenum and a C&L 80MM Mas Air meter. Pretty cheap and you can put it all in yourself in about an hour! A difference you can feel.
