help with cams!
well i was looking into getting a cam.. and the installation looked like it would be about 500$ is it possible to do it myself? and about my heads i asked to do it and i was quoted 600$... is that also to much or what? also if i wanted to get a stage two roller cam do i need to change my lifters or would it work w/ my stock lifters?

I am all for doing stuff myself for the $$ savings and the satisfaction of doing it myself but I gotta tell you that unless you are a mechanic or have one as a best friend I personally would not call a cam job a DIY thing.
Too much to go wrong if not done properly. 2 big things are degreeing them properly and avoiding PTV (piston to valve)contact.

do not do this yourself. there is a reason mechanics charge a lot for this, because it is hard to do. you will spend tons of time and end up mad and frustrated.
