I drive a 2001 Convertable GT and the front drivers side latch is a little loose on the top I have tried a lot of different things and the only this that seems to work is wrapping the rod in tap to make it thicker and hold the top on tighter it still is not as good as the passenger side though. There is not enough room for water to get in but u can tell when you look from the outside that the drivers side is a little higher then the passenger also it is Loud at highway speeds unless i pull the top while driving and hold onto it the whole time. I figure if i take it to the dealer they will charge me something crazy when all that seems wrong is the handle on the Drivers side top is not that tight. Any help on this matter or websites where i can buy a new handle off of?

can't you adjust the latch to make it tighter when it is closed?

Yea i have tried that it could be that the spring is wore out or something
