Default front htr II?????

i am getting two 275/40/17bf goodridge kdw or nitto 555sfor the rear so i can get good traction, but still get good mileage. since these are expense i was thinking of getting some 245 or 255sumitomo htr 2 tires for the front so i could save some money. do yall think these would be okay???

Personally I would not. Functionally they should work ok but my question is what is the price difference? I bought an entire set of KDW2's 18" for around 700 shipped Discount Tire Direct.

I have the HTR Z II tires all around. They suck for the rear, but they are fine in the front. I'd say you will be ok with it, so long as you don't mind having tread patterns that don't match.

also i know you can fit a 275 on a 17x8 with a bulge, but would this take away from the traction, or mess up the wheels or tires???

if its a street/strip car i think that wuld be ok if you dont mind the diff tread patterns. otherwise just spend the money and get really good tires...u get what u pay for
