Default TORQUE PROBLEM!

I'm having trouble with like my low end torque (like a lag), and it feels like i should have more power between 2000 and 3000 rpms. i thought it may have to do with my clutch, but it still hasent gone bad. anyone have any ideas?!? (98)

Do you have any mods? If so, list them.

You need some gears, that's the problem with my '96 anyways. Doesn't really start to pull until about 3,000 rpm's because the 2.73's in the rearend are just too tall. If you get say, 3.73's, that will add a whole extra rotation of the drive shaft per rotation of the wheels in comparison to 2.73's which will allow the engine to turn up much quicker for better acceleration, and that will make it feel more powerful and quicker, despite still having the same HP/Torque

also it is just the nature of the powerband of this motor not alot of cubes so power is made in higher RPM's
