well i just got my scoop for 300 shipped, bought the hood for 150 shipped. Im plaiing on making my own bracket - but its going to look sick.

I love the way my shaker looks! Its actually one of the MAIN reasons why i choose my mach 1 over a cobra, that and the 8k price difference! But i have to agree with the guys(and gals) that unless you have cash to throw away and want to spend it on visual upgrades, then what are you waiting for, but other than that i'd say go with something else... I personally think its the best visual upgrade you can do to a new edge, not so much the 05+...

Would you need a new hood if you get the shaker system?? Looking at buying one threw AmericanMuscle , but wanted to know if it could go on my GT hood if i take it to the shop and have the make the hole. How much would that cost? Has anyone done that?

Im not exactly sure, being that it came stock on the mach 1's but i have looked into buying a carbon fiber mach 1 hood and its around 500ish... Im also not sure but i think iHAVEheard of someone taking a gt hood and modifying it to fit with the shaker system.. Your best bet would be to ask around and priceitat your local body shops or just go witha carbon fiber one.. Of a quick google searchI reallydidnt havemuch luck finding a stock hood for sale!

I saw a site that has the Shaker System with a kit that goes on the hood to make it look like the Mach1. You will have to cut a hole in your existing hood (obviously) but the kit covers everything up. I will look around for it again and post the link.

I'll just tell you guys that I have had both. The CDC kit doesn't look real good. IMO, If you do it, buy the kit from KarKraft.com, then buy an OEM hood.... It looks soooo much better.
