Default Place in CT. that will install new gears

I want to upgrade the gears on my 2002 GT from the stock 3.27 to 3.73 or 3.90. Anyone recommend, or know of a good place in CT? to have this done. Also, any recommends on which gear set. Goods, bads etc.....I don't want to go with 4.10's so I am debating over 3.73 or 3.90.

Thanks

any performance shop should be able to do a rear end gear swap. i dont know of any specific shops, i do know of a few good dyno tuning places in the area. where do you live in CT?

you could always go here and ask, they should be able to reccomend the best one in your area.

Check out lmmc-ct.com Its a mustang club for CT. There are few sponsor shops that will do it. One not listed is AABudgetrepair.comin Ellington. I had work done on my mustang by Al, the owner. Hes a nice guy and has very reasonable labor rates. I asked him about it last summer and he said it would be around 300 bucks for the install.

I live in Hamden but I am willing to do some traveling to find a good place. Someone mentioned xxtuning in East Hartford.

Hey! Definitely don't go to xx tuning. I ive in meriden and got mine done at total auto sports in newington. The mechanic mario is excellent. He just installed mine in my 98 cobra last weekend and their definitely not expensive. Heres the address and phone number 182c kelsey st newington ct, 06111 860-436-3195. If you take a left at taco bell down the pike your 2 streets away. They have anything from a 600hp evo to serious stangs too.You will not be disapponted with craftmanship, personality, nor price.

i got mine done at xxtuning.you drop your car off in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon.....good guys to work with and i was happy with the job. I think they charged me $1300 for everything.....FRPP 3:73s, all the FRPP gaskets/bearings/shims, amsoil synthetic gear oil, the install and the tune with a new SCT x Cal. Its pretty fair when you figure out the price of everything included plus the install and tune....saves the trouble of going out and buying all the parts....minus the tune and the xcal i think they said gears + install alone was 700 or 800

and if you join LMMC, xxtuning gives you a bit of a discount....if youre gonna get a lot of other stuff done like dyno tunes and any head/cam/engine work, itll definetly be worth it to join the club and get the discount
