Strut Tower Brace problems w/ CAI
does anyone know if it's optional to keep your strut tower brace on? ever since i installed my cold air, it's been hitting off the tower brace and making this clunking noise that sounds like ****. when i installed it, i actually had to cut part of my strut brace just to fit it over the cold air. FOR ALL YOU 96-98 COBRA OWNERS. THE BBK COLD AIR WILL GIVE YOU THIS PROBLEM.

RE: Strut Tower Brace problems w/ CAI
a strut tower brace is just a brace and is not mandatory, it is however more useful to your car than a cai. Whether you keep it or not is up to you, but seeing as how you already cut into the stb it's a good chance that it is already pretty useless and frail. So I would say go ahead and take it out, its job to stabalize and tie your front end together to prevent flex is already hampered by the chunk you took out of it and depending on how big the chunk is, it may eventually snap.

Email BBK and see if they know of any aftermarket tower braces that will fit over your CAI. You cant be the first one this has happened too. You should also make sure it isnt already an aftermarket unit that came with the car, and doesnt fit CAI's that would fit the vehicle 100% stock
