Default Proper/Best way to launch in a race??

I'm not too much of a "street racer" so I don't really know too much about taking off from a stop. So I was wondering what the best way to start a race from a stop is... Is it best to rev the engine at a certain RPM then drop the clutch or to ease out of the clutch like a normal start.. Thanks a lot fellers..

Get some suspension mods, and dd wheels...then rev to around 2000 or 2500, then a slight feather for a good launch from a dig. If you spin, you won't be happy with your #'s.

I rev and dump the clutch, but I have 315s on the back. Just my style.....I'm no professional though. Try both out at your local track and see what works best for you.

Rev up to about 3000-3500 and slip it. DO NOT DUMP IT....or you'll stay there forever. Just go out and practice until you find "your style."

agreed with the above comment, prof. slip the clutch out, but considering they have too i still like that method the best.........does anyone here actually let the gas all the out when they shift (during a race)?

Yeah i do, I dont like powershifting my transmission. Since i only go to the track maybe twice a year, its not worth tearin something up too me. If you wanna get great times you are gonna have to powershift it. I dont let all the way up, but i definitely dont powershift. And yeah, practice is the best way.
