Your car that slow were you notice the difference in a damn O/R pipe

The powerband just gets moved up. Aka "less torque" but "more hp" on the top end. Your car didn't get any slower I promise

If you take a glass of water and and blow into it with a tiny littlestraw you get lots oftiny little bubbles. Take that same glass of water and blow into it with a green Starbucks straw and you'll be blowin'water in your eyes!

Yup I probably wouldn't have noticed if it got faster though.

My first thought was that it was in my head, and because the car sounded faster, my butt dyno was overcompensating and making it feel slower. But, then guys on a local Mustang site I go to said that it adjusted my power band, dropping low end torque and adding high end hp.

What Spintech mufflers you got on there...they sound great! I got Pro Streets that are now dumped and I may put tailpipes on there ...........
I don't honestly know, I bought the catback used from sitnlopro...I assume they are Pro Streets, but can't say 100%. He might know.

I'm really not sure about the pipe though. Maybe it cost me a little bit, maybe it is just in my head. I just talked to my installer though and I'm getting 4.10's and a tune next week, so its not gonna matter [sm=icon_rock.gif]

I had the same thing when I first installed my o/r x. It produces it's power higher in your powerband

They don't rob hp/tq. They will increase it all the way through your powerband, but it will be stronger up top & give you the illusion that your car is slower now.

We get one of these posts atleast once a month where someone thinks headers/mid-pipe robbed them of power.

It's not the case. Opening up your exhaust will give you gains all throughout your powerband, but like I said - these mods willincrease across the board & really shine higher in the RPM's & it will really give your butt-dyno the illusion that your car is slower.

I thought the same thing when I put my Bassini x pipe on my GT. When you get into the topend of the car you can tell the x pipe makes a difference (more power). When you bolt on some more goodies (induction parts) you will be glad you got it.
