Default Automatic Terminators?

Not that I'd ever want one that was automatic, but I saw a black '03 convertible cruising around today and it was an auto. Do they even make Terminators with an automatic transmission?

Yeah SVT decided to not offer an automatic trans so either it was a swap like Jaybird79 said or it was a fake.

so it must not have ever been done if you never seen it...
there are several guys on svtperformance that have done it. The auto is a stronger trans...

I honestly don't think it was a fake. I was next to the car for like 3 miles in rush hour traffic and I couldn't find any signs that it used to be a GT. If it was they did a damn good job making it look like a Cobra.

dont be a dick.......isnt it VERY possible and most likely that some guy put Cobra crap on his auto GT? theres like 5 guys on this site that have done just that.....the terminator front bumper is becomming very popular on GT's.....who knows maybe it was an auto swapped into a terminator

It's not a simple swap, but I've seen it done. The 4r70e (or 4r75e)tranny can be built to withstand 1000 crank hp.

The hard part is that you need a new wiring harness to put that tranny in a Cobra. The Cobra computer has thepins to talk to the tranny, but you need a tuner who knows how to enable them, or you can go with the Mach 1 computer (sucks for tuning).

I had my GT harness modified to connect to a Cobra motor and built 4R75W tranny
