Default 03 4.6 swap in 94 v6

After going through constant overheating problems wit my 94 3.8 and two sets of head gaskets I bought an 03 4.6 motor with all accessories, motor wiring harness, and t5 tranny. Anyone got any advice on what I am going to need for the swap. My main concern is the wiring, will anything match up or do I need to get a complete 03 wiring harness?

You'll need an instrument cluster, 99-04 ECU (may need to be mid 01-04)... and yes, probably the entire wiring harness. With the instrument cluster, connect your rear defrosterusing the old wiringor you're going to have some issues.

You will need the wiring harness, computer, intrument cluster, MAF, not sure about the T5 bolting up I'll have to check, Kmember, springs, and a whole buttload more things that I am just to lazy to type. Sell the motor and car and buy a new one. That will probably be cheaper.

The T5 isn't going to be a problem so long as its a 2v 4.6L he has.

Its probably not a T5 though, if he got it all from a 03 GT its the 3650.

You will prob. need a bellhousing to attach to a T5. In addition, wiring harness, instrument panel, etc. You will also have to beef up suspension and springs to hold the engine. The 4.6 is about 100 pounds heavier. Then, you may want to think about the rear end too. An 8.8 inch rear would fill it out nicely.

you will need motor, motor mounts, radiator, fan, alternator, power steering pump, water pump, AC compressor, tranny, tranny mounts, driveshaft, fullexhaustan 8.8 rear or a detroit true trac rear with girdle will handel it, should upgrade the suspention, the computer, guage cluster, and you still must notify your insurance company or they will not cover you at all (like you dont even get what a V6 is worth if you total it)

its going to be a major PITA, you could resell the 4.6 and tranny and get a 4.2 f150 motor and reuse the mustang upper intake or use a tbird supercoupe motor with a eaton ontop which would be alot easier and get you about the same power
