Default RE: cobra running on ethonal??

Well there is some truth and some rumor in this thread. Yes it is very possible to convert your car, but it won't be cheap and you get about 20% worse mpg on Ethanol. You basically need a fuel pump, lines, and fuel tank, the hard part is finding someone who can tune it. The Ethanol is going to hard on the rubber parts of your fuel system, but it won't hurt the motor. Performance wise your not going to have anything to gain, unless your running forced induction or REALLY high compression. Yes E85 looks good because it's cheaper than gas but in the long run you don't save any money because of the drop in mileage. Ethanol has less potential energy than gasoline so you need to burn more of it to get the same amount of power. I have heard of people converting cars, but they are all running a blower or turbo or big compression.
