Comparing this short throw to others,I think there are better out there. Maybe it is just a mustang thing, butI doubt every aftermarket shifter is this choppy.

Iwould NOT put them in.I have talked with Tremec in great detail about this and am convinced that they are correct. The tranny has beefy internal stops and does not require the external stops. We mainly put them in for shipping purposes only. We lock the center shaft down so that the shifter will not clang around in shipping. You must remove them prior to installation of the shifter.

Wow! That's the first negative comment I've heard about MGW. Everybody else else makes them put to be the shifter God would use if he drove a Mustang.

I have been trying to tell people MGW sucks since the day I installed mine. It will not "break-in" and will always shift like sh*t. You should have bought the Steeda Tri-Ax. Try shifting an 99+ Camaro SS six-speed transmission with stock Hurst shifter and you willrealize how bad the MGW is.
