Default RE: rev limiter

thanks for the info. I only did it that one time. Im not planning on trying to ruin my motor and was mostly concerned because like i said its just hard to guage the shift. It goes from 3K up really fast(MOSTly just smells like burnt rice)lol. I maybe should trade it in for some rice. LOL. Not.
I am currently working on trying not to race it, but I am not going to let some 3 colored primer piece of rice, do a flyby on me.

The rev-limiter is set to 6500 RPM from the factory, the "redline" that starts at 5800 or so on the GT tach is a warning to not keep the revs in that range for extended periods. I run mine up to 6200in 1st and2nd(70 MPH) at least 2 or 3 times a day...

maybe I didn't go as far as I thought, I thought I was around 6200-6500. Maybe I just didnt reach it,but I think I will be alittle more conservative than you cliffyK. I want to keep this Pony fast, If i wanted something slow maybe i would have bought a camel.lol.
