Default Drag Radials for a N/A Auto????

My buddy has a 2001 Mustang GT Auto with pretty much the same setup as i did N/A....he has a JLT CAI, 75mmtb&plenum, 4.10's,LT headers, shorty X and SLP LMII's.....going on past experience, i know that my MT 275's were too much tire and the car would bog badly off the line. The tireswereWEIGHED A TON!In the 1/8th the best time i could muster with the M/T's on was 9.0X while i could hit the 8.80's on stock street tires......So my question is wether BFG DR's or Nitto DR's would be a better choice for a new edge auto putting out in the neighborhood of 250-260rwhp

I haven't been been to the track before, and I haven't ran DR's at all...

Soooo...can't you just launch at a higher RPM to prevent bogging?

with an auto, your limited to how high you can launch...unless you do a stall

Guys, unless you have a high stall converter dr's wont make a big difference. With my stock converteri ran 14.2, with the 3000 stall that i got now i ran the same 14.2 on street tires. But now i'm spinning like crazy. 1st gear and half of 2nd gear is a waste of time . I really need those MT's.
