squeaking front end over speed bumps =(

Look for anything in your front suspension... Tie rods, Springs, likely shocks... I would just start replacing things and see what happens! Now that ya mention it i got a question for people in the know... I never really looked... but do these cars have Zirc fittings that need to be greased??
Not from the factory.. I believe the EPA had started putting a band on factory installed Zirc fittings..
A squeaking up front is metal to metal contact.. Could be a lot of things, like the hardware going through the control arm bushings isn't lubricated, the steering rack bushings could be bad, the springs could be broken/isolators deteriorated.. Get under the car and see if you can get a sturdy screwdriver/prybar under the steering rack, and see how much free play there is..
If that doesn't yield anything, push down on the each side of the front, doing this over the wheel well.. If the car makes the noise when the springs are loaded, it may be control arm bushings..

Tie rod ends will squeek when you go up and down for sure, but it'll be extremely noticable when you turn the wheel and it squeeks the entire way. This is because they are, as mentioned, sealed and ungreasable. Replacement isn't difficult but requires an alignment after completed. I had this problem when I bought my car and it would be horrible driving around parking lots and squeeking VERY loud. If you don't have the noise when you sit still and move the wheel without going up and down, then it's not tie rod ends.
There are a few things that can cause squeaks.. The original poster only mentioned it made this noise when he goes over bumps... I don't necessarily rule out tie-rods, but there are a few KNOWN issues w/ squeaks on these cars... If I were to guess, I'd say it was either a bushing (rack or CA) or springs....
Then again, I'm not next to the car, so take it FWIW...

Here's a way you can check for tie-rod failure.. Jack the front end up w/ the wheels straight forward.. Go the the wheel, and grab the tires at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock position. Try pushing and pulling the wheel in and out, and if it clicks, or wiggles excessively, they're more than likely bad..
I know you may not know what I'm talking about, but maybe someone else could clarify this technique...
You can also tell by excessive free-play in the steering wheel, when the car is stationary.. Although there are a couple other things that can cause that too..

basically what he said, (hope this clarifies what godamgt said) jack the front end up, have the wheels either turned in or out, try pulling or pushing the wheel, in stock form you should be able to do this but the wheel should not move alot. If it does and you hear any noises while doing this your looking at a busted tie rod.
