Well you do know that when your engine gets cold and you start it up, it's gonna idle high until it gets to operating temperature then it'll idle back it normal. This is completely normal.

If thats not the case, make sure you unplug your negative battery terminal for about 10 mins then put it back on and start your car up. This clears the PCM's stored fuel curve and the PCM will relearn its idle strategy and fuel curve.

Did you put the stock screen back in when you put the new CAI on? If not then that could be the problem. [&:]

The MAF screen doesnt make a difference, infact the car will run better without it and is claimed to add an additonal 5hp on NA Cobra's and Mach1's. The lower the engines horsepower isthe lower the gain, the higher the power is thehigher the gain, its a restriction in the path of the air.

Just make sure that you dont have any leaks anywhere and that all your bolts are tight (Not too tight.)
Go ahead and dissconnect the battery cable, its worth a try. If you still have a problem then you might need to get a tuner to change the idle.

uhhhh, no. Why would you have to get a programmer to change your idle after installing CAI......... You dont.
And your also wrong about the screen. Alot of times if you leave it out your car idles high or wants to die while driving around.
