How do i get old dried up masking tape off my hood?
well i bought a 03GT hood for my car today and i can't wait to get it on my car tomorrow. Only thing is, the guy put a piece of masking tape on the front of the hood with the price. . . it was about 12 inches long and all dried up and old. I tried heating it up with the hair dryer and pulling it off but all the goo stayed on. i was scratching it off with my thumbnail and some hot water and soap but i am afraid of scratching the hood too much . . any suggestions?

how bout just laying a wet towel on it overnight. after the water soaks into it....it should come right off.

One for the WD-40 and the other for the towel idea!
WD-40 works great for getting duct tape goo off.
