The only thing that a salvage title means is that when the crash occured, the cost of the damages exceeded the total value of the car, it doesn't mean that the car was a balled up peice of metal before they fixed it. There's nothing wrong with a salvage car as long as the frame isn't twisted or bent and the body work was done correctly. That salvage title also means that the car has been inspected by the state patrol.
Maybe so. But none the less is still GREATLY diminishes the retail value of the car. And the fact that the state patrol approved it doesn't meen very much. As long as it has been put back togeather and all lines on the car "appear" to be straight it really isn't that hard to get the car back on the streets. But the salvage title is besides the fact he still needs a new/rebuilt trans. That alone (couples with the bolt ons and 4.10s) strongly suggest that the current/previous owners beat hard on the car and probly abused it often. IMO I think it probly has wayy more problems that it would be worth at almost any price.
Its not that uncommon for a T-45 to crap out at almost 90k miles. Driven hard or not
uncommon? maybe not but i wouldnt say it is the norm either.6 friends with 98-01 gts and 4 of them made it over 110k miles with no probs yets. One the trans blew at 73k but he dogged the **** out of it, and the other only had 39k on the clock

9k for a salvaged stang.........hahahahahahahahahahahaha that guy must be on some good drugs or just retarted no way on gods green earth id pay that much for a broke stang even if the trans was good i still wouldent dish out 9k........and you have to consider all the mods on the car........that would tell me that the car was probably beaten up........................LISTEN BRO DO NOT BUY THAT STANG.......you can find clear title stangs for around the same price if you look good and have patience.............if you do buy the stang thats 9k then add another 2-3k for the trans then add more $$$$$$ for whatever else is wrong with it..................another good thing to do is get a carfax report just to see the history on the car.....but all in all it would be wise to just let that stang go................but its your money so do what u want with it

I would avoid it. It has to been beaten because of mods. Not because the tranny issue. That is quite possible for a t45 like 20004.6 said. My t45 crapped out and I really dont drive my car that hard. I would only buy the car if you can get it wayyy cheaper and if you plan on making it your weekend car or your race car. Not recommended for daily driver
