...rust on Magnaflows?
I was under my car today tightening up an exhaust hangar that had come loose and I gave my exhaust system a good look-over - and realized that the whole thing is covered in little dark spots. They're not dirt or mud - they won't scrape off with a fingernail. I can feel them when I run my finger over them so they're definitely on the surface, but I have no idea what they are. My tips have the crap all over them too. What could this be? It couldn't possibly be rust, could it? I bought the STAINLESS Magnaflow system specifically to avoid that... could it have something to do with road salt? I had the underbody washed every week or two while salt was on the roads to try to avoid that...
I'll try to get some pics, the camera's dead right now. But if anyone else has something similar, please let me know what it is and how to get rid of it.

Stainless steel can get surface rust depending on the quality. 201 and 409 stainless steel have more mild steel than T-304 and we all know mild steel is composed of rusting agents, so the more mild stel stainless has (201 409) you will see slight surface rudt. Although it will never rust fully through like mild steel it will get slightly tarnished! Get some Neverdull on there and that should do the trick without scratching them!
