Best bang for the $ are MAC LT headers ....install is a PITA if doing it yourself. Other more expensive headers will fit an AT but MAC is cheapest for the quality. Did the install on mine and used the MAC ceramic LTs.

he will have to change his X pipe for LT's and from what I have heard there is only one brand that will fit on a auto and your right it is a PITA to do. I would save and go FI. that's what I would have done looking back.

yeah I though you had to get a new mid pipe if you get long tubes. Mac makes the shorty o/r h-pipe

What brand do you have? richmonds are known for that, i have Ford Racing myself, no problems....I did MAC LT's on my 02' GT auto and it is no ones idea of fun, i did it over 3 weekends...if you have limited experience, i would advise against doing it yourself

If you got a $250 quote for installing LT's the guy doesnt know what hes getting into. Theres no such thing as direct fit when installing LT headers. Even more dificult with an auto car, that big azz tranny always in the way

I get a slight, very slight, whine decelerating from 40mph to 30mph.
If I step on the gas very lightly the whine goes away.
I have stock gears and I've driven several cars like mine, some do it and others don't.
If it's a loud whine have it looked at.

I would add a tranny cooler if I were you.
It will prolong the life of your transmission.
