Default Reverse Glow Gauges

Has anyone ever installed these gauges: http://www.americanmuscle.com/fomugt96sire.html ? I have done many electrical installs before but for some reason these gauges are giving me so much trouble. Can anyone at least tell me wut color the wire is in the headlight switch module that i need to splice into for power? I have tried 4 different wires and nothing is giving me any power. I thought these gauges would be a piece of cake but its turning into some long *** project. HELP!

try a grey one with blue stripe that wire was connected to my headlight ****, i just spliced it in, and you gotta find a ground.. if u have the tools to sauder, there should be a metal pipe about 10 inches behind the dash, that worked for me just like in the instructions at americanmuscle.com

My power wire was the grayish-brown thick wire in the middle of all of them. And for my ground there should be a bolt holding the dash to the big metal pipe. Undo that bolt and slip the ground in there and bolt it to the pipe. Worked for me.

it was kinda for me, what we ended up using was a paint can opener and filed it down and it worked like a charm.

You might want to do your research on what color your power wire is before you go splicing or at least make sure you talk to saomeone with the same model mustang.
It seems like here each year of mustang is a different color wire.
