To the OP, its whatever you want. The Procharger will give you more power up top, but the KB will give you the awesome torque down low and the fun factor from light to light.

Have you ever driven one? If by fun factor, you mean lighting up your tires then yeah I agree. Unless he plans on DD with mickey thompsons, he wont get to utilize the low end torque.

Either way you'll be happy- I personally really like the Prochargers- havn't had an issue yet. I also just picked up a D1 Kit with the sheetmetal race intercooler for 3k so they are definetly affordable!

RE: Procharger V.S. KB ???
The big difference is in the low end torque, and that the KB's boost level is dependent on throttle position, not RPM. In other words, w/ the KB you can be cruising at 60mph in 3rd gear @ 4000rpm and still be at zero boost, which means better gas mileage and better driveability. With the procharger, despite what some people will tell you you will produce some amount of boost based on RPM.
Also, w/ the KB you will get instant boost, there is literally no lag. When I stomp the gas in my car, the needle is at 14psi within about a half a second. With the procharger or other centri, you will find yourself waiting for boost.
Bottom line is if you want tons of low end torque (i.e. something that will throw you back into your seat at 2500rpm just like it will at 5K), go with a KB. If you're looking for more potential and more strip driving vs. street driving, go w/ the procharger. Personally I have driven both and would never take a centri over a twin screw. IMHO there is just no comparison.
I have a KB @ 14psi and can drive it every day to work getting 18mpg and still run mid-low 11s at the track - nothing more I could ask for.
