Modification hell?
Just reading around, checking out all your mods, and your opinions on them.
I keep reading that the GT's don't take to mods well. Is this true? If you caught my "what would you do" thread about me wanting to make my car all it can be
what do I need to look out for? What mods are the touchiest, and what can I do to ensure an easy transition?
Thank's!

Well save your money and don't buy any intake mods. Exhaust mods are good if you do the full exhaust with long tube headers. You'll gain some nice power and of course the sound is much much better.
Gears are another favorite. Do a search for 3.73 vs 4.10 and you'll get plenty of results.
Or if you're serious about modifying the car, save up for a supercharger. Just stick around and read as much as you can and if something really stumps you post up a question.

The main problem is the heads on the 2V cars, they don't flow well at all and noone is making aftermarket ones worth a damn. This is why the 2V cars like blowers, it helps make up for the poor flowing heads.

Amanda-
These cars don't respond great to typical bolt-ons, but you can beef it up enough (Of course you could stock) to take care of most typical ricers. Plus, for just a few hundred bucks your car can sound amazzzzingggg.
Click on my sig pic for my exhaust video. I paid a whopping $275 for my setup. (Got catback used from member here, got X pipe from a guy in St. Louis)

haha yeah they are slighty different then hemi's of years past....but they flow! anyway, u guys know im new here, so i am just trying to learn about all this modding stangs.....i sure wish these things responded better with bolt ons, but i completely understand just go with a SC and be done with it!
The mustang motors whether they are 2v, 3v or 4v - they respond incredible to forced induction whether its a blower or a turbo. it all depends on what you want to do to your car. If you want 400rwhp, you have to get FI... If you want 270rwhp you can get all the bolt ons and be done with it - and have a solid low 13 second car... It's all in what YOU want.
ehh HEMI's are for guys that want to be like Joe Dirt
