RE: spark plug help
Also, it might be good if when you take the COP off, to use an air blower or vaccum to get all the dust and crap out before you remove the plug and let that crap fall into the head.

RE: spark plug help
I'm a different guy, but feel just about as sheepish.
I've got a 98 GT and decided to change my own plugs. I started on the driver side, and was moving right along no trouble until I got to the rear two plugs on the passenger side. It seems like the fuel rail needs to come off to get access. Can that be right? It's a lot of hassle for something that is classic DIY maintenance.
With effort, by moving a bracket that was protecting some hoses, I was able to change out the most rear plug on the pax side, but the next one forward I still can't figure out.
Any help is really appreciated!

RE: spark plug help
With the help of another trip to the hardware store to buy a shorter socket extender and a swivel joint, I got it out and in. I'm a little unhappy with using a swivel, because it's hard to feel if you've got the plug seated correctly. But it seems okay. I started it up and it ran okay.
