To me, a nice lil cowl hood looks good on our model of mustangs. It is not posing by just getting a cowl hood. Thats contradicting cuz the Cobra R hood is raised as well. The gt hoods with the fake scoop look good, but I stilllike the look of an 03/04 cobra hood on the GT's... its very sexy.

Just go with what you like the best... if you eventually need more clearance under your hood... then your better off getting something now that will work for you later... just my $0.02.

Yeah I have the same problem... looks like it happens a lot lol. I got3 quotes to get my hood, bumper, and fenders painted andthey werebetween850-1000 dollars. They said they would blend it in with the back of the car to make it look good.

having any other type of cobra, mach 1part on a gt would also be considered posing and a cobra r hoodwould bepointless also according to this statement. we all do it who cares..

i actually just asked my body shop guy how much to paint a cowl hood. $150 because i pay him cash..lol otherwise 800 isnt bad for everything hood included.

why do you think i asked if he plants to do F/I, cause if he goes supercharger he will need clearance, im just saying if he doesnt go F/I there are better style hoods out there that look alot better than a cowel hood, such as the cobra hoods. and what parts has anyone installed on their car that came from a mach 1 or cobra? anything short of an engine is considered aftermarket.. even the mach 1 chin spoiler, its only called a mach 1 cause thats the model it came on. i guess since some of us have K&N were honda posers.

that's a nitroused car and I'm quite sure he got the hood for weight reduction, and no it doesn't look stupid. Hopefully one day I'll have one.

also.. the cowl hoods look sexy on the stangs.. even if you dont have a blower, so what? hell.. i would run one on my car n/a if it was... i will be getting one for clearance issues though... code03gt has a 4 inch cowl on his NATURALLY ASPIRATED mustang. no one gives him crap for it? wonder why? cuz it looks good!

yea bc k&n makes parts for every car out there.lol no i was meaning mach1 chin spoiler was made for the mach1's and u, me and billion others have it, sequential taillights were made for the cobra and many people have them also, cobra hoods, bumpers, the list goes on.
