As many of you may know, i am looking to find a 99-01 or so stang for under 7k. I found this one for $3500; http://westernmass.craigslist.org/car/304400132.html, but it has a problem. The mechanic said:

"The engine noise is from a possible piston skirt or possibly a bad intake valve. Hard knock on right rear valve cover. May need to have the engine broke down some to pinpoint the internal failure"

Anyone know what this is or had it happen to them before? Any estimates on repairs? Thanks
