Starting to widen the search and possibly include the 96-98 GT. In looking at a 4.6, are there any weaknesses to be on the look out for. In looking at the V6 I know you have to watch for the infamous head gasket problem. Just wondering if there is anything like that on the 4.6's?

if your looking to get a 5 speed, make sure the shifter moves nice and smooth, puting in the wrong kind of fluid could damage the tranny, if you feel any grinding when running the shifter through the gears you dont want that car unless you plan on replacing the tranny.
