short shifter question

Default short shifter question

im thinkin about buying my friends short shifter. he was tellin me it was made by someone called kurbin or something like that. has ne one heard of them? he said all i will need is a shift **** and some bolts so i dont bend the forks. does ne one have any info on this stuff?

Never heard of Kurbin before lol. Honestly I would be leary of installing any aftermarket product that is totally unknown. Having a bad shifter could seriously mess up your transmission. I would go with a reputable name like MGW or Steeda if I were you.

well he said he had it in his GT before he got his steeda shifter, which sounds suspicious but he is sellin it for $50 which is why im interested.

+1. Sounds like BS. That $50 could turn into a huge problem later. MGW or Steeda, except no others.

Add roughly $120 to that $50 and get a brand new one. $180 dollars isnt that bad for a shifter, u will thank all of us later when you buy a steeda tri-ax or as other suggest a MGW. Take our advice please.

ya i probably will, or i might ask him to try it out and see what it does. i mean, he wouldnt sell me a defective part, unless he didnt know.

I dont know what the what other shifter's are like, but the steeda is alot shorter than stock, some people on here have had several different short throws, maybe they'll chime in. I got my steeda from 50restro for a $170.
