Default Subframe connectors and longtubes

May be a dumb question but I want to get subframe connectors and want to make sure the headers aren't gonna get in the way...is there anything else I need to know to install these and are they worth it?

you should be more worried about leaving your pipes on a speedbump than the sfc's...

I have the MM full length sub frames, and are what I would recommend as a first mod to a stock mustang.

I have Steedas full length, as to are they worht it, HELL YES, should have been my first mod, I used to have a Prochamber and between steeda there is plenty of room there won't be any clearence issues. They are now the lowest piont of my undercarrige, I don't scrape them though, I have a 1.25" drop all the way round. Hope this helps, here is a pic, to dark to see the subframe connectors but they are visible in better light for about 1 1/2 feet in front of the rear wheels.

Subframes and headers are not even close to each other.......you'll be fine!
Get the weld in sub frames

Here's a question...
I've been thinking about sub-frame connectors ever since I bought my first issue of Modified Mustangs (February issue). Just a week after I bought my car. They even said that special edition Stangs and verts have sub-frame connectors already installed from the factory. I thought my car being a 40th anniversary had em. Guess what? The car they were putting them on was a Cobra and a 40th...lol...anyway...

If I get them and get long tubes headers (not interested in shorties). What about dropping my car? Should I not bother dropping or how far could I drop without making my exhaust rub on the ground? Targa said his exhaust is lower than his sub-frame, so this is why I am asking.

Thanks

really the only thing that the longtubes will be in the way of, is your tranny/clutch... the headers go down the middle, the sfc are on the sides...

lmao lizzy and karp I think you guys are the only ones that read the q right=P..... anywho, buying the sub frames is a good idea, our cars do not have a lot of structural integrity tieing the front and rear together, a good example of this would be if you've ever taken twisties, try and open your door and let it shut itself, it'll be difficult for it to align right and it has to settle for a second.

Your drop depends on your comfort level, I have the mm full length subframes and the lowest I'll drop my car is an 1.5" and I'll be buying shorties.. it's just not practical to drop it down that much but its if the aesthetic appeal side of me gets the better of my judgement when I install my coil overs. Your main problem with atermarket lt's is that some of them have clearance issues with your tranny.
