Default steeda udp's rusty?

Hey guys, I got my car out last saturday and was so overjoyed, but I am still bugged by one nagging thing. Last year I got steeda udp's BRAND NEW, just sou know the case. Well when I opened the hood i was dissapointed to find that the alternator pulley is half rusted over. Is this common? What should I do if its not? Thanks

They are advertised as being made of steel--sounds like they are...any paint will not hold up well in the underhood and drive generated heat. Repaint them, orget 'em powdercoated and be done with it...
