Default 2003 A/C Problems

My 2003 Mustang only blows cold air while I'm driving... not when idling. Any ideas?

Does the fan come on when you turn on the A/C?

Yes, the fan is on and when I'm driving the air is ice cold.

I`m talking about the fan that is on the radiator. Not the fan/blower inside the car.

What you describe is a classic sign of a low refrigerant charge...

+1

At idle, is the compressor cycling on and off a lot?
If so, that is the low pressure switch protecting the compressor.

Put a set of guages on it and see where your Freon charge is at.
